Anthony Edwards (knee) remains out on a week-to-week basis after going down in the Wolves’ opening round series against the Nuggets, and his status for the West Semifinals vs. San Antonio remains uncertain.
Victor Wembanyama has his fingers crossed that Anthony Edwards will recover as soon as possible ahead of their looming postseason matchup.

Speaking in front of reporters after the San Antonio Spurs’ team practice on Thursday, the French superstar sent his well wishes for the recovery of the Minnesota Timberwolves sensation.
“They have more than just Edwards, and they can adjust a bit. Those are players I enjoy watching and competing against—they play hard. It’s funny because I don’t think about them negatively at all. I don’t hate them, but anytime a player in the league gets hurt, even if I compete against them, it’s tough to see,” Wembanyama said.
“It always breaks my heart when someone gets injured.”
Edwards sustained a left knee hyperextension and bone bruise in Game 4 of the first-round series of the Wolves against the Nuggets. Despite his inactivity, Minnesota beat Denver in Game 6 last Thursday to advance to the Conference Semifinals and set a seven-game meeting with Wembanyama and the Spurs.
Edwards is out on a week-to-week basis, wherein he is expected to miss the initial portion of the second round against the Spurs.
As Edwards continues to recover, Wembanyama is certainly looking forward to his comeback, making their second-round face-off even more compelling in this year’s postseason.
