A new milestone was reached Tuesday at the Hillsborough North Recovery Court.
The recovery court celebrated 10 new graduates from its program, bringing the total number of graduates over the past decade to 1,000.
The graduates spent time working towards sobriety and becoming productive members of the community.

Judge Amy Messer introduced each graduate and spoke about their progress.
“It’s tremendous,” Messer said. “It gives all of our other recovery court participants who are midway or starting out in the program, I think it gives them a lot of hope to what their lives can look like when they finish.”
More than 80 family members, supporters and former graduates attended the ceremony.
