Mark your calendars for a concert you do not want to miss. On Sunday, May 24, at 7 p.m., Camp United Methodist Church will host an admission free concert of sacred music featuring sensational piano player Phil Giallombardo (and friends).
Giallombardo has had a long and varied career as a songwriter, singer and entertainer with piano talent that is nothing short of mesmerizing. His music career began at the tender age of 16 as a founding member of the rock group The James Gang. Over the years he has shared the stage with famed performers like Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, Bob Seger, Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh, Earth Wind and Fire, the Yardbirds and many others. He also founded a Christian music group called Wing and a Prayer, for which he wrote the music and did the arrangements.
Giallombardo now lives in the Winding River community and is a member at Camp United, where he often plays preludes, during the offertory and postludes, which are gorgeous and inspiring.
The theme of this concert is “You’re Not Alone.” A love offering will be collected to benefit Christian Recovery Centers, Inc. (CRCI), a ministry that brings hope, healing and transformation to those in need. Camp United Methodist Church invites the community to come and enjoy an uplifting night of music and fellowship as in support of a cause that is changing lives in the community. Invite your friends and family and fill the sanctuary.
