Coachella 2026 is about to deliver one of its most unexpected genre clashes yet. On Saturday, April 11 at 11:55 PM, U.K. drum & bass collective WORSHIP will close the Sahara stage, performing at the same time as festival headliner Justin Bieber.
The collective – made up of Sub Focus, Dimension, Culture Shock and 1991 – becomes the first drum & bass act in Coachella history to headline and close the Sahara stage, marking a significant moment for the genre’s continued global rise. Over the past year, drum & bass has experienced renewed momentum worldwide, with the IMS Business Report noting that the genre surged in popularity and became the third best-selling genre on Beatport in 2024.
Meanwhile, WORSHIP arrive at Coachella following a series of milestone performances. Earlier this year the group delivered a massive Ultra Music Festival mainstage set, while their sold-out Red Rocks show in October further cemented their position as one of drum & bass’s most influential collectives.
Each member of the group has also helped drive the genre forward individually. Sub Focus recently released his album ‘Contact’, featuring collaborations with Katy B, Grimes, bbyclose, and John Summit on the global hit ‘Go Back’, which has already surpassed 150 million streams. Meanwhile, Dimension’s UK silver-certified anthem ‘DJ Turn It Up’ continues to dominate festival stages, alongside newer releases like ‘Once In A Lifetime’ with bbyclose and ‘Guardian Angel’ featuring Karen Harding.
Fans can expect many of these tracks – along with eight brand-new WORSHIP singles – to appear in the group’s explosive Sahara closing set, which will also stream globally through the Coachella live broadcast.
With drum & bass reaching one of the world’s most influential festival stages, Coachella 2026 could mark a defining moment for the genre’s next chapter.
