With Beatport Insider, we look at key stats from the Beatport store each month. This time, we look at the artists, tracks, and labels that dominated our Drum & Bass genre sales and streaming charts over the past six months.
Australian producer Luude takes home the gold with Beatport’s top-selling D&B track “Down Under (feat. Colin Hay)” — a ruthless and festival-ready remix of the famous 1981 Men At Work tune. On the label front, Hospital Records continues to hold it down as the genre’s most sold and streamed imprint, followed closely by Andy C’s RAM Records and Kasra’s Critical Music.
Following their wildly successful track “Like Whoa,” along with several other top-notch releases, UK all-star duo Phibes have worked their up the charts to become Beatport’s top-selling drum & bass act. And coming in as Beatport’s top-trending D&B artist — showing the highest percentage increase of tracks sold in the last six months — is Russian talent Alexey Egorchenkov (aka Enei), who continues to astound with his piping hot output on Critical Music.
