Lifeline Recovery Center to receive $422K over two years from Kentucky's Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission – WPSD Local 6

PADUCAH — Kentucky’s Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission will provide $422,120 over two years to Lifeline Recovery Center of Paducah, the nonprofit announced Wednesday.
According to a press release from Lifeline, the funds will benefit the men’s campus in Ballard County and women’s campus in McCracken County. The grant will support the workforce development program, staffing, women’s campus furnishings, and operational expenses.
The funding comes from Kentucky’s nearly $34 million share of the over $1 billion in settlements with corporations involved in the opioid crisis.
“I’m deeply grateful we have the opportunity to turn the pain of the drug crisis into progress,” said Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman on April 23, when he announced the funding. “We owe it to every family affected to use these resources responsibility. By investing in these outstanding organizations across Kentucky, we can build a future where fewer lives are lost and more people find a path to healing.”
