Harness racing driver Brett Beckwith continues to recover following his recent injury and remains in good spirits as he works his way back.
Beckwith reported that his jaw is still partially wired with rubber bands, keeping him on a liquid diet for the time being. He is also dealing with a wrist injury that is currently in a hard cast, with plans to begin therapy in the coming weeks.
While the recovery process has been challenging—especially adjusting from driving nearly 80 horses a week across multiple states to a much more limited routine—Beckwith remains focused and positive.
“I just keep telling myself it can always be worse,” he said. “A lot of people thought I was a goner, and I’m still here—that’s what counts.”
There is no timetable yet for his return, but Beckwith’s mindset and determination continue to stand out as he works through the recovery process. The entire harness racing community is wishing him a smooth recovery and looks forward to seeing him back in the sulky.
